Obituary For Karen Strategier

Karen M. Strategier, age 77, of Fort Thomas, KY, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025. She is survived by her daughter, Lindsey (Mark) Collier; grandsons Benny and Landon; her sister Dale; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, William “Dave” Strategier; her beloved son, Brent “Bo” Strategier, and her mother and father.
Karen was born in Newark, New Jersey, and went on to graduate from Bradley University before beginning her career as a flight attendant. A life full of travels eventually led her to meet Dave, and together they built a home in Northern Kentucky.

Karen was known for her great sense of humor and her eye for a bargain—whether clipping coupons for her favorite restaurant, hunting down the best grocery deals, or finding a yard sale treasure that still had the tags on it. She loved the thrill of the casino, especially penny slots, where friends and family often had to coax her away from the machines. She also had a sweet tooth, a passion for football, and a deep appreciation for the crisp, colorful days of fall.

She was thoughtful to her core, always putting others before herself. Even while battling Multiple Sclerosis for over 45 years, she faced the disease with bravery, determination, and a spirit that insisted it was just another hurdle to clear.

Above all, Karen cherished time with her family. Trips to Las Vegas to visit loved ones, family gatherings, and moments with her grandsons brought her the greatest joy.

In accordance with her wishes, Karen has donated her body to the University of Cincinnati Medical School, and no immediate services will be held. A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date, where friends and family will be encouraged to share a memory, a laugh, or a toast in her honor.
