Obituary For Rob Bryan Hamilton

Robert Bryan Hamilton, 61, most recently of Erlanger, KY, passed away on September 20, 2025. Born in Georgetown, OH, on June 8, 1964, he was the son of the late Charles Robert Hamilton and Billie Faye Hamilton.

Rob was a quiet, reserved youth who grew more outgoing as he grew into a young man. He loved listening to rock music, particularly KISS, 3 Doors Down, and Nickelback. Rob studied to be a diesel mechanic, graduating from ITT Tech. He worked for many years at Avis. Within his mind and hands, he possessed vast knowledge about cars and trucks. He shared this with many folks while working at AutoZone in addition to a number of other automotive parts stores after his time at Avis. In his younger years, Rob and his father raced at dirt and drag tracks, especially Thornhill Dragstrip; the oldest continuous running dragstrip in the country. A fan of NASCAR, Rob would never miss a race while his favorite driver, the legendary Dale Earnhardt was behind the wheel. He enjoyed riding his Suzuki motorcycle, but was also given to quieter past-times such as camping at Eagle Valley, deer hunting, and golfing at Eagle Creek.

Rob was the dad of Amanda (Tyler) Wolfe, Jake Hamilton, and Justin (Hannah) Hamilton; brother to Kim (Timothy) Brake; as well as grandpa to Lincoln, Benjamin, Jackson, Elias, and Bradleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another’s company, and honor Rob on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM until shortly before the memorial service at 6:00 PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Memorial donations can be made online in Rob’s name to St. Elizabeth Edgewood Cancer Center.
