Thomas More College sophomore guard Nate McGovney (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) has been named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week by the PAC office.
McGovney helped lead the Saints to a pair of PAC wins last week, averaging 20.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while converting 59.1 percent (13-of-22) of his field goal attempts.
In Saturday’s win over Washington & Jefferson College he scored a career-high 33 points, including 27 points in the first half. McGovney finished 11-of-15 from the floor in the win over the Presidents and knocked down seven of eight three-point attempts.
McGovney and the Saints return to action on Wednesday when they host Geneva College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills.
