The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies chapter at Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law will host a law student forum with United States Congressman Thomas Massie on Feb. 19 from noon until 1 p.m. on the Highland Heights campus.
The presentation is open to the community, but questions are reserved for law students. Registration is required as space is limited.
“The Federalist Society is honored and excited to host Congressman Massie,” said Jordan Morgan, Chase chapter president. “He is a true advocate of liberty and constitutional conservatism, and we look forward to hearing his perspective on the current state of the law as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.”
The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies is “founded on the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.”
One of the chapter’s missions is to bring the most current and noteworthy speakers to NKU Chase to promote an awareness of these principles and to further their application through the chapter’s activities.
