Special to NKyTribune
“Anna” and “Elsa,” the sister princesses from Disney’s megahit “Frozen,” are coming to Bellevue’s Fairfield Avenue on Saturday, February 21. The princess characters are part of the family-friendly entertainment during Bellevue’s first-ever Winter Carnival, a magical day that will include a chance for kids to have their pictures taken with “Anna” and “Elsa” at Witt’s End Candy Emporium, one of the many locally-owned shops lining this historic thoroughfare.
Sponsored by Citizens Bank of Northern Kentucky and Cleves and Lonnemann Jewelers, Winter Carnival is a new Shop Bellevue Third Saturday event with the fun taking place – indoors and out – from noon to 4 p.m.

In addition to appearances by “Anna” and “Elsa” (12-2 p.m.), well-known magician Paul Dalholt (aka Presto Paul) will be performing tableside magic tricks at Bellevue restaurants (1-2:15 p.m.), including Avenue Brew, Twisted Sisters and Siam Orchid. Local balloon artist Greg Wilson will be on hand from 1-2:30 p.m. and several face painters will be stationed in different shops during carnival hours.
Expect to find the shops along Historic Fairfield Avenue decorated for the Winter Carnival theme and offering Winter Carnival- and/or Disney’s “Frozen”-related merchandise and menu items. In-store fun and games include decorating “Frozen” cookies at Circle of Hope Artisans, a snow ball toss at Le Sorelle Women’s Clothing, a Snowman Poke for a prize at Interior Visions and a showing of Disney’s “Frozen” at Witt’s End Candy Emporium.

Winter Carnival is free and open to the public. Pick up a map and schedule of events from Fairfield Avenue shops and restaurants. Check Shop Bellevue Ky for more details and updates about Winter Carnival 2015.
