On Thursday, March 26, the Northern Kentucky Education Council and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce invite the community to attend the 2015 Excellence in Education Celebration: Winning Together. Hosted at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, this annual event recognizes student, educator, community and business leaders for their significant contribution toward education.
“This signature event showcases the many accomplishments of our leaders and also illustrates what is possible when we all work together to change the outcomes for our youth in NKy,” said Polly Lusk Page, executive director of the Northern Kentucky Education Council.

“As a region we celebrate our collective effort as evidenced by the recent increase in the number of students who are graduating from high school on time and also our graduates who are prepared for college and career.”
With an anticipated 800 people in attendance, the 2015 Excellence in Education Celebration will be the largest gathering in Northern Kentucky focused on celebrating excellence in education. The event will commence with a pep rally themed social hour beginning at 5 p.m. with dinner and awards beginning at 6 p.m.
“As business leaders, we are in a position to provide positive mentoring to young people in order to develop the workplace leaders of tomorrow,” said Steve Harper, chair of the board of the Northern Kentucky Chamber and president of Harper Oil Products.
“We are fortunate in Northern Kentucky to have a variety of opportunities for engagement and ways to make a difference in education, and as you’ll see reflected at this year’s dinner, the support from local businesses is outstanding from year to year,” Harper said. “In Northern Kentucky, we understand the importance of giving your time and expertise to prepare the talent needed to compete.”
This year’s theme of “Winning Together” was chosen because when everyone works together to ensure that all youth are ready for college, career and life, everyone wins – but most importantly, the youth win. Attendees are encouraged to show school pride by wearing their best college spirit wear.
