Kentucky Community and Technical College System President Jay Box began a listening tour with stops at all 16 KCTCS colleges, seeking input for the KCTCS 2016-22 strategic plan.
Throughout March and April, Box will gather feedback on the future of KCTCS colleges and the system as a whole from students, faculty, staff and community partners. College communities will consider the question, “What does your community/region need for the college to be by 2022?”
KCTCS faculty, staff and students have already submitted more than 3,200 responses to that query. The listening tour will allow the system’s second president to continue the conversation face-to-face and engage a broader audience.
“Because our strategic plan will be what drives our entire institution for the next six years, it is vitally important that it is designed through a process that includes input from not just the colleges of KCTCS, but also the entire state that we serve,” said Box.
The first stop on the “Out of the Box” Listening Tour was Hazard Community and Technical College on March 17. Box served as HCTC’s president from 2002 – 2007.
