Thomas More College junior designated hitter Donovan Pogue (Sharonville, Ohio/St. Xavier) has earned two national weekly awards this week.
Pogue was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division III National Hitter of the Week and was named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week.

He hit .667 (12-of-18) with two home runs, four doubles, 19 runs batted-in and nine runs scored last week, helping the Saints to a 5-0 record while extending their current win streak to 14 games.
Also selected as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Hitter of the Week, Pogue also walked four times and finished the week with a .696 on-base percentage and a 1.222 slugging percentage.
On the season, Pogue has a .514 batting average with five home runs and 36 runs batted in. The Saints are 17-3 overall, 9-0 in conference action.
Pogue and the Saints return to action on Friday when they open a three-game series with Grove City College with a single nine-inning game at 3 p.m. in Grove City, Pennsylvania. A doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday, beginning an noon.
Thomas More returns home on April 14 for a doubleheader against Thiel, beginning at 1 p.m.
