There are devoted fans and then there are crazy fans; Killing the Curse is about the latter

Die-hard fans would do just about anything to have their teams win. Anything.

It’s baseball’s opening week, and the Chicago Cubs are the buzz of the baseball world. Will they shed a curse that goes back to 1908?

The Cubs are already in the World Series in Killing the Curse, the award-winning sports-political thriller by Dennis Hetzel and Rick Robinson. Imagine a crazed fan who will do anything to make sure they win – even if it costs lives and destroys the presidency.

The book’s most recent honor was “best general fiction” in the Great Southwest Book Festival.

You can find Killing the Curse at local book stores, online and in Kindle and Nook formats.

Check out upcoming book signings: Hetzel and Robinson will sign books on May 23 at the Kenton County Library in Erlanger.

At the Schaumburg appearance, Hetzel will do a presentation on “Weaving Fact into Fiction” that draws on the Cubs’ curse as well as the book’s settings in Chicago and the Midwest.
