Tibbs, McDonald, Schuh chosen for Ohio-Kentucky All-Star games this weekend at Thomas More

Three local high school basketball players agreed to play in the Ohio-Kentucky 
All-Star Games on Saturday at the Connor Convocation Center on the campus of Thomas More College.



In the girls’ game that’s set for 5:30 p.m., Dixie Heights senior center Liza Tibbs 
will be playing for the Kentucky team. Tibbs averaged 15.8 points and 9.3 
rebounds last season and accepted a basketball scholarship from Bellarmine 
University.



The Kentucky roster for the boys’ all-star game at 7:30 p.m. includes senior forwards Drew McDonald of Newport Central Catholic and Bo Schuh of 
Covington Catholic.



McDonald, a Northern Kentucky University recruit, averaged 16.8 points and 
10.7 rebounds last season and was named 9th Region Co-Player of the Year by
members of the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches.



Schuh averaged 13.7 and 7.3 rebounds for CovCath’s 9th Region championship 
team. He was named to the all-state tournament team after helping the Colonels make it to the semifinals.



There will also be a Slam Jam Festival featuring the all-star players at 7 p.m. 
Friday at the Connor Convocation Center. Players will compete in slam dunk
and 3-point shooting contests as well as play in 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 games.
