A new innovation platform on how we view and engage in volunteerism has arrived in NKy — and it’s gaining momentum in the region’s nonprofit and social services circles. It has and costs no money, so it doesn’t fundraise. It doesn’t have a headquarters, so it’s everywhere.
The Life Solutions Network is a collaboration of volunteers and organizations in the NKy/Cincinnati area working to improve life skills capability with people in need. The organization’s mission is to “add value and meaning to people’s lives.” Its mission is “to create a life skills toolbox to enable people to serve to their potential and inspire and enable capability-building volunteerism.”
In an effort to bring awareness to the Life Solutions Network, it is launching a 2015 volunteer and agency outreach event in NKy. Nearly 30 local organizations are expected to engage with hundreds of community residents who desire service opportunities in NKy.
Volunteer NKY: Personal Growth, Community Impact, Lasting Change, presented by Life Solutions Network, will be hosted by the Life Learning Center (20 West 18th Street in Covington) on Friday, April 24 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
In addition to interacting with organizations in need of volunteers, community residents will also experience learning and encouragement opportunities via “Purpose Workshops.” For more information, click here or contact Tony Aloise at tony.aloise@lifesolutions-network.org.
