The Florence Freedom saw their four game winning streak to open the season snapped with a 5-0 loss to the Frontier Greys Wednesday night.

Florence put runners on base in all nine innings but failed to covert their opportunities.

Freedom starter Casey Henn (1-1), pitching on his 25th birthday, was the hard luck loser. The Cincinnati native fired five and two thirds innings, allowing two runs while fanning six Greys batters.

An RBI single in the fourth inning was all the Greys needed in this game as Scott Carcaise reached when no one covered first on a grounder to Daniel Fraga at second base. On the play Zach Tanner came around to score. The Greys tacked on three more in the sixth, including a Tanner home run, to pull away.

Steve Carrillo and Sam Eberle led the way at the dish for the Freedom, as both went two for four on the day.

The Freedom take the field against the Greys again Thursday night at 6:35 p.m. in the final game of the home stand. Get your tickets here to see the Freedom try to win the series.
