Ft. Mitchell provides online registration and schedule for city’s summer recreation program


The Fort Mitchell City Council announces its summer recreation program with a new online registration form and program schedule for residents of the city.

Registration begins today and is open until the beginning date of each specific program.

Thirty-nine different recreation programs for adults, families and children are now listed online.

“Fort Mitchell City Council offers its residents one of the most comprehensive summer recreational programs in the region and this year we are offering a more efficient way to sign up with online registration on the city’s new website,” said City Administrator Sharmili Reddy. “There is something for everyone to enjoy and learn this summer.”

Also new this year, Beechwood Independent School District will be offering sports camps for children managed directly by the school. These camps include basketball, volleyball and soccer for boys and girls. Registration for Beechwood sponsored camps can also be accessed through the city website.

Programs begin in early June and run through July. Popular programs include cheerleading camp, Madcap Puppet Theater, various sports camps, arts and crafts, gardening, a fossil dig, clogging and drama instruction.

The pinnacle of the city’s recreation program is the annual Independence Day Parade on Saturday July 4th that begins at 12:30. Thousands of residents and visitors participate and attend the parade each year.
