The Scott baseball team advanced to the 10th Region title game for the second consecutive season with an 11-8 win over Clark County in the semifinals on Thursday at Clark County.
Scott, the defending regional champion, will play Harrison County at 6:30 p.m. today to decide this year’s representative in the state tournament that begins Monday at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington.
Scott scored five runs in the top of the sixth inning to take an 11-8 lead against Clark County. The high-scoring win is nothing news for the 21-11 Eagles. They have scored 10 or more runs in nine games this season.
