Boone County police provide details of 911 call re unexplained death of Union woman


Boone County Sheriff’s investigators are examining the unexplained death of a 27-year-old Union woman after her boyfriend called for 911 an ambulance stating she was unconscious but breathing and had banged her head.

Daniel Vetter, 33 of the 10,000 block of Turner Drive called 911 on Thursday, June 4 at 5:13 p.m. requesting Emergency Medical Services for his girlfriend, Meranda Hobbs, 27 of the same address.

Vetter told the 911 call-taker he was outside talking with his mother on the phone when Meranda started banging her head on the window and was now unresponsive.

Responding patrol deputies detected what they believed to be unusual circumstances involving the incident and called in the Criminal Investigations Division who cordoned off the scene to conduct an indepth investigation.
