The Thomas More College football team is ranked No. 15 in The Sporting News Division III preseason Top-25.
The Saints finished the 2014 season 8-2 overall and 7-1 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC), winning a share of its sixth PAC title in the last seven years. It was the program’s 19th winning season in the 25-year history of Thomas More football.
Last season Thomas More out-scored its opponents 45.0 points per game to 20.0 points per game. Offensively, the Saints rolled up 533.3 yards per game, while the defense held the opposition to 291.7 yards per game.
Thomas More will be led by first-year head coach Regis Scafe. Scafe brings 19-years of head coaching experience at the NCAA Division III level, including 14 at John Carroll University.
The Saints, who play their home games at BB&T Field open the season with three straight home games and five of their first six game at BB&T Field. Thomas More host 19th-ranked St. John Fisher College on Sept. 5, traditional-rival Hanover on Sept. 12 and Thiel College on Sept. 19 on homecoming at Thomas More.
On Oct. 3 the Saints host fourth-ranked Washington & Jefferson College, on Oct. 10, they will host Geneva and on Oct. 31, the will host Waynesburg University.
