As part of its year-long Centennial Celebration, United Way of Greater Cincinnati will hold its first summer event of the year on June 2 on the Purple People Bridge, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The United Way Day of Action is a fun, free and educational event for parents and children to help bridge the summer learning gap. It will be the biggest Day of Action in UWGC’s history. Featured programs will include:
Interactive puppet show
Mural painting
Hip-hop dancing
Celebrity children’s book authors reading and book signing
Science experiments and
Sing-a-longs
All day, there will be prize drawings, special programs and enough cake for hundreds of people in celebration of our 100th birthday.
This Centennial year is an opportunity for the entire community to come together for the good of all.
Plan now to be part of other Centennial activities throughout the year, including a 20-week social campaign challenge to do 20 of 100 ways to Live United; an ongoing 100s of Heroes Campaign; and the last of our early summer activities, which will showcase United Way as presenting sponsor of the July 9 TedXCincinnati Main Stage event, “Accelerate”.
