Erlanger-Elsmere Schools welcomes a number of highly-qualified professionals to key leadership positions as the district ushers in the 2015-2016 school
year.

Chad Molley is assuming the responsibilities of assistant superintendent. Molley was a social studies teacher in the Kenton County School District for eight years before coming to Lloyd Memorial High School in Erlanger in 2002 to serve as assistant principal and athletics director.
Coming to Erlanger-Elsmere Schools was a return to home for him, as he is a Lloyd graduate and his father, Jim Molley, served in a number of administrative roles within the district over a 40-year career, most notably as superintendent. In 2012, Molley crossed the street to the district’s Central Office to fill the role of Instructional Coordinator, which he held until his promotion this summer. He resides in Erlanger with his two children – Tatum, 11, and Payton, 9 – his father-in-law, and his wife, Tracey Molley, who is a family resource coordinator for the district.
“This position means I have an opportunity to give back what has been given to me by this community; knowledge, love, hope, and a future,” Molley said.

Matt Engel has been named supervisor of instruction. He has spent his entire 17-year career with Erlanger-Elsmere Schools, beginning as an English teacher at Lloyd in 1999 before becoming assistant principal in 2006. He continued in that capacity until 2009, when he was hired to be principal at Arnett Elementary. While teaching, Engel also served as track and field coach. He resides in Walton with his wife Amy and two children, Cameron, 11 and Hannah, 9.
“As a graduate of the district, I am quite proud that I will have the opportunity to continue to serve this community in my new role,” Engel said.

Mac Cooley has been named principal of Tichenor Middle School. He has been with the district since 2000, when he came to work as a Social Studies/English teacher and varsity football coach at Lloyd.
Since then, his position has evolved and he served most recently as Lloyd’s instructional coach, social studies department chair, and senior class sponsor. He also sponsors the LEGO Club at Miles Elementary with his wife, Amy Cooley, who is the district’s early childhood community connector.
Before coming to the district, Cooley taught and coached at Hancock County and Simon Kenton High Schools. An Erlanger resident, Cooley’s son Joseph will also be starting sixth grade at Tichenor this year and his son Lucas will be in the fifth grade at Miles Elementary.
“I am so excited to serve the students and families in the Erlanger-Elsmere School District in this new capacity,” Cooley said. “I cannot wait to the start of the 2015-2016 school year.”

Amanda New will be principal at Arnett Elementary. New comes to the district from Gallatin County, where she began her career in 2004. She has climbed the educational ladder from instructional assistant, bus monitor, to teacher, then teacher leader and now principal.
Since 2008, she has taught first, second, and third grades, and was an instructional assistant in fourth and fifth grades, gaining experience at virtually every step of the elementary level. New lives in Sparta with her husband, David, and two children, Aubrey, 14, and Avery, 5, who will begin her own educational journey this year in kindergarten.
“I am so excited to be a part of the Arnett Family,” New said. “I want to build onto the amazing foundation here and continue to lead the Falcons in a successful direction.”
Erlanger-Elsmere Schools also welcomes new assistant principals at Tichenor and Lloyd:
• Cara Holland – formerly with Boone County; new assistant principal at Lloyd Memorial High School
• Bob Knoll – former principal of Newport Catholic, new assistant principal at Tichenor Middle School
• Bill Pilgrim – former PE teacher at Lloyd, new assistant principal and athletic director at Tichenor Middle School
