Startup 48th Parallel announced that it will partner with Beer House Distributors for state-wide distribution of its flagship product, Hopwater, in Kentucky.
“We’re very excited about our partnership with Beer House,” said Brandon Dawson, CEO of 48th Parallel, a Cincinatti-based company. “We’ve been working directly with restaurants and retail locations in Northern Kentucky so far, and the reception in the river cities and surrounding areas has been great. Working with Beer House ensures we can meet the growing demand for Hopwater all across the Commonwealth.”
The non-alcoholic hopped beverage launched in early 2015 and with the addition of Northern Kentucky, is now available in more than 100 locations in Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky.
Hopwater is a craft soda with the bitterness and aroma of hops. Each of its four flavors—original, grapefruit, lime and ginger—is 48 calories per 12-ounce serving and 48 IBU. The bitter sparkling water is a healthy quinine-free alternative to tonic water, and can be enjoyed on its own or as a cocktail mixer.
“Hopwater truly is a brand new product, and is in an entirely new category of beverages,” said Dawson. “It’s like nothing you’ve ever tasted before. It’s not too sweet, just a little bitter, and absolutely refreshing whether you’re mixing it with your favorite spirit or just drinking it chilled.”
