The Kenton County Fair and Horse Show is under way with plenty of events for everyone to enjoy until Sunday.
The fair will host the annual Kenton County Spelling Bee starting at 7 p.m. Friday. Also starting at this time will be the night’s series of truck and tractor pulls, including the children’s pedal tractor pull. The last event of the night is the Skyline Coney eating contest, which starts at 7:30.
Saturday the fair will host a variety pet shows. These shows include two rabbit shows starting at 9 and 10 a.m., a dog show at 1 p.m., the Children’s Parade of Pets at 3, and the Saturday horse show starting at 7 p.m. The night will conclude with a series of six truck and tractor pulls and a John Deere prize give-away.
Events taking place Sunday include the dead weight pull starting at 10 a.m. The fair concludes with open exhibits lasting until 2 p.m.
The Kenton County Fair and Horse Show is held annually at the Kenton County Fairgrounds off Ky. 16 in Independence.
