Flipdaddy’s Brilliant Burgers and Craft Beer Bar will be hosting a special event for the family of Piper Verdusco, the 10-month-old baby from Bridgetown who is the focus of a viral video that features the moment she looks through prescription eyeglasses for the first time.
The video has reached over 30 million viewers and captured worldwide public attention.
Picked up her glasses. Went out to eat and put them on her. Her reaction 🙂 melts my heart

Piper and her parents, Jessica Sinclair and Andrew Verdusco, will be in attendance, along with Dr. Josiah Young, Piper’s optometrist at Opticare Vision Center in Newport.
Piper’s parents made the video while having lunch at Flipdaddy’s in Newport after getting Piper fitted with baby pink glasses by Dr. Young.
The celebration will be Wednesday, July 22, at 6 p.m. at Flipdaddy’s Newport, 165 Pavillion Parkway.
Flipdaddy’s wanted to get everyone involved together after what has been a whirlwind of a week for Piper’s family and Dr. Young, said a Flipdaddy’s spokesperson.
Flipdaddy’s will be making donations to InfantSee and the Fort Thomas Lions Club on Piper’s behalf.

The donation to InfantSee® will help 7,300 optometrists across the country, including Dr. Young, raise awareness of the need for infant eye care. The donation to the Ft. Thomas chapter of the Lions Club will help fund comprehensive eye exams and preventive care for those in need in Northern Kentucky.
Flipdaddy’s will ask the public to make donations to both organizations as well and will present gifts to Piper and her family and Dr. Young.
Dr. Young participates in InfantSee®. This national program provides no-cost eye exams for children from 6-12 months. You can find a list of providers in your area by visiting http://www.infantsee.org
Dr. Young received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry and received a Master of Science degree in Vision Science for his research on the visual ability of athletes. His specialty includes pediatric eye exams, contact lens fittings and meeting the needs of athletes. Dr. Young practices at Opticare Vision Centers in Newport. He lives in Fort Thomas with his wife and two children.
