Behringer-Crawford Museum seeks your old Northern Kentucky newspapers for new exhibit

Behringer-Crawford Museum is seeking original copies of 1920s-1940s newspapers with Kentucky mastheads for a new exhibit. The papers will be displayed in a replica 1930s newsstand.

“Years ago, newspapers were the primary way people found out what was going on in their neighborhood, town and world,” says BCM Curator Tiffany Hoppenjans. “They are important links to our region’s history and a vital part of our new exhibit.”

Hoppenjans also points out that in most cases, Northern Kentucky newspapers were regional editions of Cincinnati publications, but it is issues that are labelled “Kentucky” that are needed.

If you have Kentucky newspapers that you are willing to donate, contact Tiffany Hoppenjans at (859) 491-4003 or email her at thoppenjans@bcmuseum.org.

The Behringer=Crawford Museum is located in Covington’s Devou Park, 1600 Montague Rd. For more information about BCM, call (859) 491-4003, email info@bcmuseum.org or visit www.bcmuseum.org.
