Thomas More College will hold the first-ever collegiate Rosary Rally Sunday, Aug. 23, at 9 p.m. Hundreds of students will gather in the stands at Griffin Plaza, TMC’s football stadium, to pray the rosary and offer up prayers for a safe and successful school year as well as upcoming athletic season.

Those in attendance will also lift up the family and friends of Mitch Kramer, a junior and member of Thomas More’s football team who died in an all-terrain vehicle crash Monday in rural Campbell County. (See a statement from school President David Armstrong)
The Rosary Rally is an event that Sportsleader, a faith-based mentoring and motivation program, holds across the country. At the conclusion, we will gather on the field in a TMC formation and light candles. A press release from the school said the rally is part of the TMC mission of inspiring students by the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, as well as challenging students of all faiths to examine the ultimate meaning of life, their place in the world and their responsibility to others.
In the past year, Rosary Rallies have been held at dozens of high schools across the Tri-State and the United States. Thomas More College will become the first college to hold a Rosary Rally on their campus, the press release stated.
