
The Florence Freedom return this weekend to take on the Gateway Grizzlies Friday through Sunday at UC Health Stadium, and a full slate of exciting promotions await.
Friday, Aug. 14, 7:05 p.m.
The Freedom kick off the weekend home stand with Superhero Night presented by Jack Lillie Insurance. Thanks to a partnership with the Cincinnati Comic Expo, the Freedom’s concourse will be lined with Superheroes available for photos and autographs. Confirmed Superheroes include Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man, Poison Ivy and many more. Check out the jerseys the Freedom players will be wearing on Friday.
Giveaway: Get to the stadium when gates open at 6:05pm to receive a trading card set courtesy of Jet’s Pizza (first 1,000 fans). Also, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Florence Freedom collector’s edition Superhero poster courtesy of Magic Nutrition. Bridges and BIAK will also be handing out goodies at their concourse booth.
Fireworks: After the game, Elite Pyrotechnics will light up the sky with an incredible Superhero themed fireworks show presented by Arlinghaus Heating and Air Conditioning.
Saturday, Aug. 15, 6:05 p.m.
Get to the stadium early on this 92.5 The Fox Rockin’ Saturday presented by Kerry Mazda. In partnership with Master Provisions, Chick-fil-A at Houston Road and Markco Plumbing, Freedom fans have the chance to break a Guinness Book of World Record by tossing more than 1000 rubber chickens at the same time. Get here when the gates open and purchase the special Master Provision’s package to participate.
Diamonds: On Saturday, Motch Jewelers presents the post-game “Diamond Hunt”. All adults will get the chance to come down on the field post-game game and hunt for the lucky egg that contains a winning number. The winning number will win that fan diamond jewelry courtesy of Motch Jewelers.
Post-game Band / Kick-Ball: After the Diamond Hunt, fans can rock out with Doghouse as they perform live on the Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy Bandstand. Also, kids 12 and under will get to enjoy a kick-ball game on the field.
Sunday, Aug. 16, 6:05 p.m.
A Heritage Bank Family Sunday presented by Warm 98 meets ‘Are you ready for some football? Night’ when Ickey Woods joins the Freedom as we support the Jovante Woods Foundation. Get ready to welcome back the football season as Ickey will be on the concourse for fans to purchase autographs and take photos with all the proceeds benefiting the Jovante Woods Foundation.
Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans will receive an Ickey Woods Bobbleshuffle courtesy of the Kentucky Lottery. The bobbleshuffles will be given away 1 per 2 tickets. Gates open at 5:05pm.
Cold Cuts: Subs Station II will be in the house slicing up fresh cold cuts to enjoy during the game. $1 of every cold cut will benefit the Jovante Woods Foundation. Ickey will also lead the crowd in a “Mass Shuffle” at the end of the 1st inning (he may even spike some cold cuts)!
Bowling Night: As a make-up from July 8, the Freedom will be wearing specialty Bowling Jerseys to benefit the Northern Kentucky Bowling Association and their scholarship foundation on Sunday. Fans can bid and take these jerseys home! Also, challenge PBA bowlers Brian Himmler and Dave Wodka in “Challenge the Champs” bowling on the concourse.
Post-game: Kids will get to run the bases post-game as well as enjoy a team autograph session presented by Jack Lillie Insurance.
