Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Beshear appointed the following as members of the Kentucky Recreational Trails Authority to serve for terms expiring Aug. 22, 2018:
· Ohio County Judge-Executive David. L. Johnston, of Hartford, replaces Gregory A. Rankin, whose term has expired. Johnston represents county judge-executives.
· Jerry A. Coleman, of Cave City, is employed by J & J Sales and is a farmer. He replaces Mark C. Barrow, whose term has expired. Coleman represents Kentucky Farm Bureau- west Kentucky.
· Thomas L. Williams, of Sonora, representing the Kentucky Motorcycle Association, is an electrician with D&F Electric. He replaces Wanda D. Bedard, whose term has expired.
· Tracy D. Mitchell, of Smiths Grove, represents the Kentucky Horse Council. Mitchell replaces Ernest L. Davis, whose term has expired.
Beshear reappointed Dennis E. Crowley as a member of the Kentucky Recreational Trails Authority to serve for a term expiring Aug. 22, 2018.
· Dennis E. Crowley, of Louisville, is a retired engineer. He represents state or national hiking or backpacking organizations.
Beshear reappointed the following as members of the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission, to serve for terms expiring Aug. 13, 2019:
· Voncel Thacker, of Hindman, is a construction manager at Thacker-Grigsby Telephone Co. He represents the 7th District.
· Christopher Lee Godby, of Somerset, is a developer at Godby & Godby. He represents the 9th District.
Beshear appointed the following as members of the Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education, to serve for terms expiring July 16, 2019:
· Larry Joe Baer II, of Ashland, is president of Kentucky Professional Fire Fighters. He represents paid firefighters. The appointment replaces David P. Stump, whose term has expired.
· Dr. William L. Melahn, of Morehead, is chief medical officer at St. Claire Regional Medical Center. He represents licensed physicians. The appointment replaces Jennifer Schott, whose term has expired.
Beshear reappointed the following as members of the commission to serve for terms expiring July 16, 2019:
· Rick J. Daugherty, of Independence, representing paid firefighters. He is a firefighter for the City of Fort Thomas.
· Gregory E. Dearing, of Louisville, representing business and industry. He is a business manager at 600 West Main Street LLC.
Beshear reappointed Ann K. Farrer as a member of the State Board of Podiatry, to serve for a term expiring July 25, 2019.
· Ann K. Farrer, of Lexington, is a podiatrist at First Feet Podiatry.
Beshear reappointed Karen T. Barry as a member of the State Police Personnel Board.
· Karen T. Barry, of LaGrange, shall serve for a term expiring June 19, 2019.
Beshear appointed Darryl J. Carta as a member of the Elevator Advisory Committee, to serve for a term expiring July 1, 2018.
· Darryl J. Carta, of Louisville, is service superintendent for ThyssenKrupp Elevator. He replaces Brian P. Craig, whose term has expired. Carta represents a nationally recognized elevator manufacturing company.
Beshear reappointed Gregory Carlisle as a member of the committee, to serve for a term expiring July 1, 2018.
· Gregory Carlisle, of Louisville, is president of Murphy Elevator Co. Inc. He represents elevator servicing companies.
Beshear appointed Alexander Barnett as a member of the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund Board, representing the Kentucky Farm Bureau.
· Alexander Barnett, of Cynthiana, is Harrison County judge-executive and a farmer. He replaces Phyllis Amyx, who is deceased. Barnett shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2018.
Beshear reappointed the following as members of the board, to serve for terms expiring July 15, 2018:
· Hugh N. Archer, of Lawrenceburg, is retired. He represents persons who have at least five years of experience in natural resources land acquisition.
· George William Little Jr., of Hartford, is executive director of the Kentucky Natural Lands Trust. He represents the Cumberland Chapter of the Sierra Club.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Advisory Committee:
· Sen. Julie Raque Adams, of Louisville, representing the President of the Senate. She shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2018.
· Dr. Nicholas Kouns, of Lexington, is a physician. He represents the Speaker of the House. Dr. Kouns shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2018.
· Dr. Neal J. Moser, of Taylor Mill, is employed by Internal Medicine Associates. He represents internal medicine physicians. The appointment replaces Dale Toney, whose term has expired. Dr. Moser shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2016.
· Ashley A. Adams, of Louisville, is a pharmacist at Rite Aid and represents pharmacists. The appointment replaces Steve Williams, whose term has expired. Adams shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2016.
· LaTonia R. Sweet, of Winchester, is a psychiatrist and chief medical officer with bluegrass.org. She represents psychiatrists in a community mental health center. The appointment replaces Scott T. Hedges, whose term has expired. Dr. Sweet shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2017.
· Dr. William J. McIntyre, of Jenkins, is an emergency department physician. He represents practicing physicians from any specialty. The appointment replaces G. Mark Tussey, whose term has expired. Dr. McIntyre shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2017.
· Dr. Mitchell Wicker Jr., of Hazard, is an internal medicine physician at Hazard Clinic. He represents family physicians. The appointment replaces Vaughn W. Payne, who resigned. Dr. Wicker shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Nov. 15, 2015.
Beshear reappointed the following as members of the committee, to serve for terms expiring Nov. 15, 2017:
· Dr. Melissa L. Zook, of Berea, is a physician with Bluegrass Primary Care. She represents family practice physicians.
· Dr. William C. Thornbury, of Glasgow, is a physician with Medical Association of Southern Kentucky. He represents family practice physicians.
· Aaron E. McIntosh, of Midway, is a pharmacist with Capital Pharmacy. He represents pharmacists.
· Dr. Kerry S. Caperell, of Prospect, is a physician with University of Louisville and Kosair Children’s Hospital. Dr. Caperell represents pediatricians.
Beshear appointed John L. Logdon Jr. as a member of the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Private Investigators.
· John L. Logdon Jr., of Harrodsburg, is a fire investigator. He represents private investigators. The appointment replaces Ray L. Lang, who resigned. Logdon shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Aug. 15, 2016.
Beshear reappointed Billy Ray Coursey as a member of the board, to serve for a term expiring Aug. 15, 2017.
· Billy Ray Coursey, of Eddyville, is a professional licensed investigator with KTMI Inc. He represents private investigators.
Beshear appointed William M. Cox as a member of the Mine Safety Review Commission, to serve for a term expiring May 23, 2019.
· William M. Cox, of Madisonville, is an attorney. He replaces William David Donan, whose term has expired.
Beshear designated David B. Sloan, of Fort Mitchell, as chair of the commission. Sloan is an attorney.
Beshear appointed Jonathan P. Campbell as a member of the State Board for the Certification of Librarians, to serve for a term expiring June 30, 2019.
· Jonathan P. Campbell, of Prestonsburg, is a librarian for the Floyd County Public Library. He represents professional librarians in a public library. The appointment replaces Vicki D. Logsdon, whose term has expired.
Beshear reappointed David E. Schroeder as a member of the State Archives and Records Commission, to serve for a term expiring Aug. 14, 2019.
· David E. Schroeder, of Ludlow, is library director for the Kenton County Public Library. He represents the Kentucky Library Association.
Beshear reappointed the following as members of the Board of Directors of the Purchase of Agricultural Conservation Easement Corp., to serve for terms expiring April 12, 2019:
· Elizabeth L. Jones, of Midway, is co-owner of Airdrie farm. She represents the 6th Congressional District.
· Rodney D. Grusy, of Elizabethtown, is retired. He represents the 2nd Congressional District.
Beshear appointed the following as members of the Bluegrass State Skills Corp. Board of Directors:
· Doris W. Moody, of Bowling Green, is human resources leader with Logan Aluminum Inc. She replaces Karen C. Lawson, whose term has expired. Moody shall serve for a term expiring July 5, 2019.
· Jeff L. Whitehead, of Pineville, is executive director of Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program Inc. The appointment replaces Anthony E. Wolff, who resigned. Whitehead shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending July 5, 2016.
Beshear reappointed Carl Lay as a member of the Bluegrass State Skills Corp. Board of Directors.
· Carl Lay, of Elizabethtown, shall serve for a term expiring July 5, 2019.
Beshear reappointed Stephen Ray Wyatt as a member of the Board of Registration for Professional Geologists, to serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.
· Stephen Ray Wyatt, of Lexington, is a self-employed consulting engineer. He represents the public at large.
Beshear appointed David E. P. Thompson as a member of the Statewide Independent Living Council, representing advocates of and for individuals with disabilities.
· David E. P. Thompson, of Covington, is a student. The appointment replaces Sandra L. Radford, whose term has expired. Thompson shall serve for a term expiring May 20, 2018.
Beshear reappointed the following as members of the council, to serve for terms expiring May 20, 2018:
· Danny B. Perry, of Murray, represents advocates of and for individuals with disabilities.
· Shari Polur, of Louisville, is an attorney. She represents private business.
· Peter A. Carmack, of Lexington, is a project assistant at the University of Kentucky. He represents advocates of and for individuals with disabilities.
Beshear appointed the following as members of the Kentucky Office for the Blind State Rehabilitation Council:
· Ashley D. Taylor, of Murray, is employment connections manager with Easter Seals West Kentucky. Taylor represents community rehabilitation program services providers. The appointment replaces Kelly Foust, whose term has expired. Taylor shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Vanessa G. Jones, of Versailles, is a program coordinator with the Kentucky Client Assistance Program. She represents client assistance programs. Jones replaces Geraldine Gordon-Brown, whose term has expired. Jones shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Angela D. Anderson of Jeffersonville, is employed by Montgomery County Schools. She represents persons with multiple disabilities who have difficulty representing themselves. She replaces Kim Ziegler, whose term has expired. Anderson shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Todd E. Stephens, of Ashland, is a senior project manager with Independence Place. He represents business, industry and labor. The appointment replaces Michael K. Freholm, whose term has expired. Stephens shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Deborah J. Culpepper, of Taylor Mill, a recertification assistant with the Covington Housing Authority. She represents current or former recipients of vocational rehabilitation. The appointment replaces Sharon S. Fields, whose term has expired. Culpepper will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Daniel Scott Heads, of Owensboro, represents business, industry and labor. The appointment replaces Donald R. Gerard, whose term has expired. Heads shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Peggy Sinclair-Morris, of Crestwood, is director for outreach services at Kentucky School for the Blind. She represents state educational agencies. The appointment replaces Katherine C. Eversole, whose term has expired. Sinclair-Morris shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Stephanie Sharp, of Owensboro, represents the Statewide Independent Council. The appointment replaces Paul D. McKee, whose term has expired. Sharp shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Rodger “Grant” Logsdon, of Louisville, is a volunteer at KY-SPIN (Kentucky Special Parent Involvement Network)Inc. He represents parent training and information programs. The appointment replaces Gary R. Hess, who is deceased. Logsdon shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
· Nancy Clayton, of Hebron, is self-employed. She represents members at large. The appointment replaces Regina Fugate, who resigned. Clayton shall serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2016.

Beshear appointed the following as members of the Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, to serve for terms expiring July 1, 2018:
· Joy Kiser, of Frankfort, is a manager with the Legislative Research Commission. She represents the Kentucky Chapter of the Alexander Graham Bell Association. Kiser replaces David S. Bayersdorfer, whose term has expired.
· Geraldine Gordon-Brown, of Louisville, is director of the Kentucky Client Assistance Program. She represents the Kentucky Association of the Deaf. The appointment replaces John B. Horsley, whose term has expired.
Beshear appointed the following as members of the Motorcycle Safety Education Advisory Commission, to serve for terms expiring June 30, 2019:
· Jeanie Petty, of Walton, represents the President of the Senate. The appointment replaces Larry Cox, whose term has expired.
· Rick D. Schad, of Lexington, represents the Transportation Cabinet’s Division of Driver Licensing. The appointment replaces Douglas A. Marshall, whose term has expired.

Beshear appointed the following as members of the Motorcycle Advisory Commission for Highway Safety:
· Rick D. Schad, of Lexington, represents the Kentucky Motorcycle Safety Education Advisory Commission. He replaces Tim Cody, whose term has expired. Schad shall serve for a term expiring June 20, 2018.
· Michael R. Jones, of Lexington, represents the Office of Project Delivery and Preservation within the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Department of Highways. The appointment replaces Tracy A. Lovell, whose term has expired. Jones shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2019.
