Portz grabs second consecutive top five finish, leads Norse to fifth in Keenan Golf Invitational

A final round of 296 helped the Northern Kentucky men’s golf team earn a fifth-place showing at the Leo Keenan Invitational hosted by St. Bonaventure at the Bartlet Country Club.

Big surges by Drexel and Humber pushed Monday’s top three teams, Robert Morris, St. Bonaventure and NKU, down two spots on the final leaderboard.

Clayton Portz, Jacob Brinker and Jacob Poore carded final-round scores of 73. For Portz, his two-day total of 142 was good for a share of fifth and his second-consecutive top-five finish. Brinker and Poore earned a share of 12th at 7-over for the tourney.
