The 2015-16 Carnegie Theatre Series continues in November with a little mystery and some deadly games as Anthony Schaffer’s SLEUTH comes to the Otto M. Budig Theatre stage.
Directed by Greg Procaccino, the two-man show stars Brent Alan Burington as Andrew Wyke, a famous mystery writer, and Rory Sheridan as Milo Tindle, Wyke’s romantic rival. Wyke loves to play games, but when he finds out his wife plans to leave him for Tindle, he plots a game with murderous consequences. Of course, in a mystery, things are never quite as they seem and games can quickly get out of hand. The show is a fast-paced comedy full of deception and mistaken identities.
Carnegie Theatre Director Maggie Perrino calls SLEUTH the perfect show for mystery lovers. “If you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, or even C.S.I., you won’t want to miss the hilarious twists and turns this show has to offer.”
Patrons seeking member, group, or student tickets should call to make arrangements.
SLEUTH is the winner of both Tony and Drama Desk awards for Best Play. It has also been adapted for the silver screen several times over, including the 1972 film starring Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine, both of whom earned Academy Award nominations for their performances. This popular show is a mystery thrill-ride that audiences will want to take again and again.
The 2015-16 Carnegie Theatre Series is sponsored by the Otto M. Budig Family Foundation. The 2015-16 Season Program is sponsored by Paula & Glenn Wienkoop.
SLEUTH is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
