NKU Athletics Department raises over $30,000 with golf tourney to benefit student-athletes

Northern Kentucky University Athletics’ Go Norse Fund hosted the 2015 Golf Outing presented by Bilz Insurance, Safeco Insurance and Liberty Mutual on Oct. 2 and raised over $30,000 to support the efforts of over 250 NKU student athletes participating in 17 NCAA Division I sports.

A total of 34 teams took to the links at Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, Ohio to help support NKU’s student-athletes.

Golfers interacted with over 50 student-athletes throughout the day and enjoyed a tail-gate style lunch provided by Skyline Chili prior to the shotgun start.

Student-athletes and golfers alike participated in various activities including corn hole and the first-ever Go Norse Fund Wiffle-Ball long drive contest.

Other sponsors who helped make the event possible included Devers Golf Carts, Bowlin Group, Kessling Financial, First Financial Bank and the Clermont County Visitor’s Bureau.

Any level of support, no matter the size, helps NKU fuel champions every day. To learn more about the Go Norse Fund and how to support Northern Kentucky student-athletes, visit GoNorseFund.com.
