Stewart, a senior from West Chester, Ohio, dominated on the back row in a pair of matches against League opposition, picking up 50 digs across six sets, including a 23-dig effort against Wright State, followed by a season-best 27-dig performance in a three-set sweep of Youngstown State.

Stewart leads the team and stands fifth in the League with 4.33 digs per set, including over five digs per set against Horizon League teams.

Stewart is the first Player of the Week honoree for Northern Kentucky since the team made the transition to the League this year. Last season, Stewart was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 22 after averaging 4.80 digs across a 4-1 week for the Norse.

The Norse will look to continue their upward momentum on Tuesday, hosting Cleveland State in Horizon League action at Regents Hall. First serve is set for 7 p.m. with the match set to be broadcast on ESPN3.
