Baseball teams from Northern Kentucky University and Xavier University are joining forces with Cameron Satterwhite of the Reds Urban Youth Academy to host a Toy Drive Camp on Oct. 17 to benefit the Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center.

The camp is open to kids ages 5-14 and is set to take place from 10 a.m. to noon at NKU’s Bill Aker Baseball Complex.

In lieu of a registration fee, interested campers are asked to bring a toy donation for the CCMC.

“I’m excited to work with both Xavier and the Urban Youth Academy to do something that is good not only for college baseball, but good for children,” head NKU baseball coach Todd Asalon said. “We’ve had a long relationship with the Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center and this camp gives us the opportunity to get the community involved while also building a relationship with the Urban Youth Academy.”

Campers will get the opportunity to improve their baseball skills through drills and station work conducted by Satterwhite and coaches and players from NKU and Xavier.

Those interested are asked to fill out a registration form at NKUNorse.com/ToyDriveCamp. Each participant’s parent or guardian must sign a release form upon arriving to the camp on Oct. 17 before campers can participate.
