Sophomore forward Ally Schultz scored an unassisted goal on a breakaway in the second half to give Bishop Brossart a 1-0 win over Campbell County in the 10th Region girls’ soccer final on Saturday.
This is the fourth straight year that the two teams have met in the 10th Region final and all four matches have been decided by one goal. Brossart also won the 2012 and 2013 titles and Campell County was last year’s region champion.
Brossart goalkeepers Amanda Lloyd and Hailee Hundemer posted their team’s third shutout in five playoff victories.
The Mustangs will play 9th Region champion Notre Dame in a sectional playoff game on Tuesday at a site to be determined.
Simon Kenton will host Louisville Sacred Heart in another sectional playoff game at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The sectional winners will advance to the eight-team state tournament that begins Oct. 31.

NOTRE DAME 3, BOONE COUNTY 1
Taylor Watts scored two goals for Notre Dame in the 9th Region championship match on Friday and the Pandas claimed the title for the fourth consecutive year.
Watts got her first goal off an assist by Maddie Wilhoite in the fourth minute and Notre Dame took a 2-0 lead when Mary Tierney put a free kick into the net later in the first half.
A goal by Paige Mersman of Boone County cut the Pandas’ lead to 2-1 with 18 minutes remaining. But Watts scored her second goal a few minutes later to put Notre Dame back in control.
Watts was named most valauble player on the 9th Region all-tournament team. She scored four goals in three regional matches and has 20 goals this season.
Notre Dame will play 10th Region champion Brossart in a sectional playoff game on Tuesday at a site to be determined. The winner will advance to the eight-team state tournament that begins Oct. 31.
