Arts and Crafts Fair Saturday at Florence Senior Center to feature local artists selling original work

The Florence Senior Activity Center, in partnership with the Boone County Visual Artists Association, will sponsor an arts and crafts fair on Saturday, November 14th, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the center at 7431 U.S. 42.

Members of the Boone County Visual Artists group will be showing and selling their original artwork. Several members will also present live demonstrations of their painting techniques and will answer questions about their work.

Members of the Senior Center’s painting class will also display some of their artwork (some artwork available for sale). A raffle will be held for several paintings produced and donated by Senior Center Art Instructor, Sue Ervin. Coffee and snacks will also be available for purchase.

A limited number of tables are available for artists and crafters who wish to sell their original work (jewelry, scarves, quilts, greeting cards, crocheted items, flower and wreath arrangements, paintings, photographs, decorated candles, hair ribbons, walking sticks, fine wooden objects and toys, coasters with college logos, and more).

There is no fee for using a table, but reservations are required (a small door prize donation is appreciated). Call 859-282-4061 or stop by the Senior Center to reserve a spot.
