The City of Florence will hold its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Florence Government Center, 8100 Ewing Boulevard.
The free event (held under a tent, rain or shine) will include:
*Christmas activities conducted by businesses and organizations
*Christmas music performed by the Florence Community Band and Florence Community Chorus
*Christmas Trees decorated by elementary students
*Photographs with Santa Claus (please bring a camera)
*Refreshments
*Sleigh rides (to view lighted displays)
Businesses or organizations interested in being a sponsor or hosting a station can go to www.florence-ky.gov and download a form.
To help support United Ministries, the City is asking people to bring a canned good to the event and place it inside the United Ministries barrel located in the main lobby of the Government Center.
