Governor Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Kentucky Heritage Council, term expiring Aug. 6, 2019.
· Tiffany N. Yeast, of Harrodsburg, is a human resources administrator at the Kentucky School for the Deaf. She replaces Jenny G. Stringer, whose term has expired.
Kentucky Heritage Council,terms expiring Aug. 6, 2019:
· Christopher James Black, of Paducah.
· Helen W. Dedman, of Harrodsburg, who will continue to serve as vice chair.
Center for Renewable Energy Research and Environmental Stewardship Board, term expiring March 13, 2017.
· William Mark McGinley, of Louisville, is a civil engineering professor at the University of Louisville. He represents postsecondary education interests. The appointment replaces Mickey R. Wilhelm, whose term has expired.
KASPER Advisory Council, terms expiring Nov. 4, 2019:
· Karen Engels Shay, of Clearfield, is a dentist and represents dentists. She replaces Katherine L. King, whose term has expired
· Tyrus Michael White Jr., of London, is a physician at Baptist Health. He represents oncologists. The appointment replaces Corazon A. Veza, whose term has expired.
KASPER Advisory Council, terms expiring Nov. 4, 2019:
· William Craig Denham, of Maysville, representing general practitioners.
· Laxmaiah Manchikanti, of Paducah, representing specialists in pain medicine.
· Mary Helen Davis, of Louisville, representing psychiatrists. Dr. Davis shall continue to serve as chair of the council.
· Sandra Pierre Thornbury, of Pikeville, representing pharmacists. Thornbury shall continue to serve as vice chair of the council.
Land Between the Lakes Advisory Board:
· Brent Stringer, of Ledbetter, is employed by the city of Paducah. He shall serve for a term expiring Aug. 9, 2020. The appointment replaces Terry Glenn Mott, whose term has expired.
Sandy Hook City Council:
· Gary Wayne Adkins, of Sandy Hook, is a business owner.
Center for Pollution Prevention Board of Directors, term expiring July 15, 2018.
· Darrell L. Link, of Williamstown, is executive director, Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts. He represents members at large. The appointment replaces Joyce M. Evans, whose term has expired.
Kentucky Board of Education:
· Susan Kaye Edington, of Madisonville, is a teacher and program coordinator at Murray State University. She represents the 1st Supreme Court District. The appointment replaces Jonathan Vince Parrent, who resigned. Dr. Edington shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 14, 2018.
Kentucky State Advisory Panel for Exceptional Children, to serve for terms expiring Aug. 8, 2018:
· Vickie L. Nicholson, of Manchester, representing teachers.
· Leisa Carol Hutchison, of Bowling Green, representing parents.
· Stella Wilson Smith, of Danville, representing parents.
· Michael Allen Armstrong , of Louisa, representing local education officials.
· Jennifer Kumari Tucker, of Louisville, representing parents.
State Plumbing Code Committee:
· James William Gibson, of Benton, representing the Associated General Contractors. Gibson shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 31, 2017.
· Aaron Hill Pierce, of Brandenburg, representing the Kentucky Mechanical Contractors Association. He shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 31, 2017.
· Mark Stephen Schmidt, of Owensboro, represents the Home Builders Association of Kentucky. The appointment is for a term expiring May 1, 2017.
Single Family Dwellings Advisory Committee:
· Michael Anthony Studer, of Wilder, represents the Home Builders Association of Kentucky. He shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2018.
Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors:
· William “Sha” Fister Jr., of Lexington, is a general sales manager and broker with Rector Hayden Realtors. He represents the Kentucky Association of Realtors. The appointment replaces Kevin R. Farris, whose term has expired. Fister shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2018.
Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors, terms expiring July 15, 2018:
· Leo Kenneth Fister, of Lexington.
· Mariah Weyland Gratz, of Louisville.
Kentucky Radon Program Advisory Committee, terms expiring June 30, 2019:
· Kyle Eugene Hoylman, of Louisville, representing the Kentucky Association of Radon Professionals.
· Edward Cornelius Tong, of Owensboro, representing the Home Builders Association of Kentucky.
Board of Directors of the Louisville
· Jack Dulworth, of Louisville, works in investments with The Dulworth Group. The appointment replaces Larry M. Hayes, who resigned. Dulworth shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 9, 2018.
The Governor has designated Larry R. Bond, of Louisville, to serve as chair of the board of directors.
