Paycor CEO Bob Coughlin says having good partners and developing a good and trustworthy staff are two of the keys in his company’s success.
Coughlin was the guest speaker for the November CBC Monthly Luncheon at the Madison Events Center.
He also discussed how Paycor’s construction of a new headquarters in Norwood has transformed its ability to attract good young talent.

Before the move, Paycor struggled to successfully recruit ten percent of the offers it made to recent college graduates. In the past year, Coughlin said 25 of 28 people receiving employment letters accepted.
He added that 40 percent of Paycor’s workforce has two years or less experience with the company.
Paycor had estimated it might start maxing out its current building in five years but at its current growth rate it could happen in the next year.
Coughlin said they purchased 17 acres for their complex meaning it could build a second building but would have to incorporate underground parking. He also revealed that when the company was seeking to relocate, then Mayor Chuck Scheper tried to recruit Paycor to Kenton County’s largest City but that the lack of available land on which Paycor could build its headquarters took Covington out of the running.
