Thomas More College has been chosen by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to host the first and second round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Tournament Nov. 14-15 at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills.
Thomas More will be hosting Piedmont College, Sewanee – The University of the South and the University of Chicago. Thomas More and Piedmont meet in one first round match Saturday and Sewanee will play Chicago in the other. The winners will play on Sunday for the right to advance to the tournament sectionals.
Match times will be announced later tonight or Tuesday morning.

The Saints (17-0-2) earned the Presidents’ Athletic Conference’s (PAC) automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament after winning the PAC Championship Tournament.
The Piedmont Lions (14-6-1) won the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament to earn the Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Sewanee Tigers (11-3-3) from the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Chicago Maroons (12-6) from the University Athletic Association (UAA) earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Saints’ volleyball team to face Berry in NCAA tourney
The Thomas More College volleyball team will travel to Mount Berry, Georgia on Thursday to play Berry University in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament. The match will be played at the Steven J. Cage Athletic & Recreation Center on Berry’s campus.
The Saints (26-4) won the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament for the fourth-straight year to earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Vikings (24-7) finished as a semifinalist in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The winner of the first round match between the Saints and Vikings will meet the winner of the Hendrix College and Covenant College in a second round match on Friday.
TMC men’s soccer to face Chicago Saturday
The Thomas More College men’s soccer team will travel to Gambier, Ohio on Saturday to play the University of Chicago in the first round of the 2014 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Tournament. The match will be played at Mavec Field on the campus of Kenyon College at 1:30 p.m.
The Saints (16-2-1) members of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference earned an at-large bid the NCAA Division III Tournament while the Maroons (11-5-2) earned an at-large bid to the tournament out the University Athletic Association (UAA).
The winner of the first-round match between the Saints and Maroons will meet the winner of the Westminster College and Kenyon match on Sunday at 1 p.m.
