Boone Judge/executive Gary Moore declares Dec. 30 Bettie Riley day in honor of her retirement, service


Boone County Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore has signed a proclamation declaring that December 30, 2015 shall be Bettie Riley Day in Boone County.

Ms. Riley has been active in Boone County serving in numerous capacities in the community.

In her tenure with the Boone County Farm Bureau she has served her insurance agency manager, Michael L. Crane and the Boone County Farm Bureau Board over her 30 year career in many roles. Those include Customer Service Representative, Licensed Property and Casualty Agent and Recording Secretary for Boone County Farm Bureau.

Riley has been involved in the community through her volunteer efforts with the annual Halloween Costume parade in Burlington, the Boone County 4H and Utopia Fair, and promotional exhibits at the Florence Mall.

“Bettie Riley has been a bright light in the Boone County Community for many decades. I am happy to proclaim December 30, 2015 as Bettie Riley day in Boone County and wish her all the best in her retirement,” said Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore.

Riley has also been actively involved in the Boone County Farm Bureau Annual Meetings, Legislative Meetings,the scholarship program, the Boone County Farm Tour and many Conservation or Extension District Meetings events.

Riley will retire at the end of the year to enjoy time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
