Dave Ueding dedicated nearly 50 years of his life to Newport Central Catholic, as a teacher, coach, and mentor.
Now, because of a generous donor, a scholarship has been created in his name to benefit students in need of tuition assistance.
The David Ueding Scholarship, established with a $20,000 donation, honors Ueding, who influenced countless students throughout his decades of service, by making an NCC education a reality for more students.
In a press release, NCC encourages parents, alumni, and benefactors to support the scholarship through donations so as to increase usable funds which would impact more students beginning next school year.
All endowed scholarships at NCC go into interest-bearing accounts. Funds are dispersed to students from the interest earned so that the balance of the scholarship never diminishes.
NCC asks that alumni, parents, students and benefactors extend their gratitude to Ueding for his contributions whenever they see him in the community.
