Learn how to manage diabetes at free class offered by the Health Department Saturday in Edgewood


Northern Kentuckians that have resolved to get healthy this year and want to learn how to better control diabetes can get practical tips to manage the disease.

Diabetes educators from the Northern Kentucky Health Department are offering a free class on Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Health Department’s District Office at 610 Medical Village Drive in Edgewood.

The comprehensive education is offered from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and registration is required. Lunch and a diabetes toolkit will be provided.

Topics will include: what is diabetes, healthy eating, preventing complications and more. The class will be led by a Registered Nurse/Certified Diabetes Educator and a Registered Dietitian from the Health Department.
