Republican Danny Seifried announces challenge to incumbent Adam Koenig for 69th District seat


Virtual unknown, Danny Seifried, will challenge Adam Koenig for the 69th district seat. Koenig has held the seat since 2007. Koenig is also a Republican.

Seifried said in a press release he hopes to bring fresh ideas to the district and the Republican Party.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University. He is currently pursuing his MBA while working for Nielson as a market analyst. Seifried sits on the board of Notre Dame Urban Education Center, a non-profit organization that acts as an after school program for the inner city children in Covington.

Seifried said he wants to bring conservative views to the district and that he stands behind Governor Bevin and shares in his mission to bring conservative values, such as right to work and pro-life legislation, to Kentucky. Seifried is anti-tolls and pro-second amendment.

The 69th district contains all or part of the following cities: Florence, Elsmere, Erlanger, Lakeside Park, Edgewood, Fort Mitchell and Crestview Hills.

  1. Really good news about a challenge to Rep. Adam Koenig. The 69th district has suffered with the representation or lack thereof of Rep. Koenig.

  2. Koenig represents all that is wrong with Frankfort. Representative Koenig supports taxes and regulations on working Kentuckians. He is also the most arrogant legislator in Frankfort. It is time to replace him with Danny Seifried.
