Two players who finished the regular season with double-figure averages in both scoring and rebounding were the top vote-getters on all-conference teams selected by the Northern Kentucky Boys Basketball Coaches Association on Saturday.

Campbell County senior center Matt Wilson was voted Division I Player of the Year. He averaged 19.7 points and 11.8 rebounds for the Camels while also shooting 64.3 percent (214 of 333) from the field. Wilson will continue his basketball career at West Point.
Newport Central Catholic senior forward Ben Weyer took top honors in Division II. In addition to averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds, he was one of the area’s leading shot blockers on defense. Weyer is a Bellarmine University recruit.
Senior guard Kalib Mitchell of Ludlow was voted Division III Player of the Year by the coaches. He led the Panthers to a perfect 12-0 record against division opponents this season to capture the small-school conference title.
Players voted to all-conference teams in all three divisions will be honored during the coaches association awards ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at Covington Catholic High School. The coaches will also recognize the recipients of the Best Defensive Player, Mr. Hustle Award and Academic Award in each division.
