Thomas More senior guard/forward Sydney Moss (St. Albans, W.Va./Boone County (Ky.) has been named the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week presented by Scoutware.
This is the third time she has been named to the National Team of the Week this season as she earned the honor on Dec. 22 and Jan. 26.

The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3hoops.com’s weekly honor roll. This is the program’s 19th season recognizing the performance at each of the five positions for the previous week. This is the 11th time that Moss has been named to the national team of the week as she earned the honor five times during the 2013-14 season and three times during the 2014-15 season.
Moss helped the top-ranked Saints remain undefeated as they posted a pair of PAC road wins last week. She averaged 26.0 points, 6.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game while committing just one turnover in a combined 58 minutes of game action.
In Wednesday’s win over Geneva College, Moss finished with 27 points and five steals. On Saturday against second-place Washington & Jefferson College, she posted her fifth double-double of the season, totaling 25 points and 10 rebounds to go along with eight assists.
Moss named Basketball Writers National Player of Week
Thomas More College senior guard/forward Sydney Moss (St. Albans, W.Va./Boone County (Ky.)) has been named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Division III National Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 14.
Moss, a 5-10 senior guard from St. Albans, W. Va., helped the No. 1-ranked Saints remain undefeated (22-0) with a pair of Presidents Athletic Conference road wins last week to extend their win streak to 55 games. She averaged 26.0 points on 19-of-38 shooting with 6.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game on her way to PAC Player of the Week honors for the defending NCAA Division III National Champions.
In an 87-52 win over Geneva (Pa.) last Wednesday, she scored 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field and added five assists. She then scored 25 points and 10 rebounds with eight assists in an 88-57 win against Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) this past Saturday.
The U.S. Basketball Writers Association was formed in 1956 at the urging of then-NCAA Executive Director Walter Byers. With some 900 members worldwide, it is one of the most influential organizations in college basketball. It has selected an All-America team since the 1956-57 season.
Moss and the Saints return action on Tuesday when they travel to Portsmouth, Ohio to play Shawnee State University, who is ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Division I poll.
The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m. at the Frank & Janis Waller Gymnasium.
