Charity Night at the Tables is scheduled for Saturday, March 19 at Turfway Park.
This year, the event event shines a light on six remarkable non-profits that work tirelessly to improve the well-being of children, youth and adults throughout our region:
• Boone County CASA
• Parish Kitchen
• Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky
• Steinford Toy Foundation
• Hosea House, and
• Milestones
“Over the years, Charity Night has attracted thousands of supporters and raised more than $285,000 to support local non-profits and we are excited to support this celebration,” said Barbara Moran Johnson with The Yearlings.
Charity Night is an energizing night of Monte Carlo gaming where the participating charities earn the ability to back horses in Turfway’s Kentucky Derby prep race, the $500,000 Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati Spiral Stakes.
Players try their luck at roulette, poker, blackjack and other casino games, designating play-money winnings to one of the participating charities. The charity with the most “money” in chips at the end of the night gets first pick
of horses running in the Spiral Stakes the on Saturday, April 2nd.
The charity whose horse finishes best receives $5000 for its work. The charity whose horse finishes next receives $3500 and then $2500 for the next with he remaining charities each to receive $1500.
The event is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Turfway Park. Tickets are $75 per person, $85 at the door and are available online here or by calling 859-905-0392. Admission includes food, drinks, and gaming.
UC Health, Toyota, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, The Yearlings and a number of other local companies have stepped up to support this one-of-a-kind celebration.
