The Kenton County Public Library is offering a variety of programs at its three branches in March. There will be a job fair, cooking classes, hair do lessons, dance classes, a health fair, crafts and much more.

Here are just a few of the offerings:

What: Tai Chi & Chai Tea
When: Fridays, April 1 & 15, 10:30-11:30 am
Where: Durr Branch Library, 1992 Walton Nicholson Road, Independence
Who: Adults
Join Master Greg Fahey for a morning of Tai Chi. This basic course of meditation in motion will be accompanied with fresh, homemade chai tea.

What: Celebrate Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang!
When: Friday, April 1, 6-6:30

Who: Ages 3-12
Enjoy activities inspired by your favorite Peanuts characters.

What: Hot Wheels Racing Day
When: Saturday, April 2 11 am – 1 pm
Where: Durr Branch Library, 1992 Walton Nicholson Road, Independence
Who: Everyone
Wheels/Matchbox cars and make them speed, soar and crash. Race them on our pre-built track or build your own! Hot Wheels giveaways.

What: Hobby Corner: Basic Fly Fishing
When: Saturday, April 2, 1-2:30 pm

Who: Adults
Learn all about Fly Fishing from Northern Kentucky Fly Fishers.

What: Martial Arts Expo
When: Sunday, April 3, 1:30-3:30
Where: Durr Branch Library, 1992 Walton Nicholson Road, Independence
Who: Everyone
Join us for an afternoon of martial arts demonstrations and information. Taekwondo, Korean Martial Arts, Shaolin-Do and more. Children must be supervised by an adult.

What: Magical! The Gathering
When: Tuesdays in April, 6-8 pm
Where: Erlanger Branch Library, 401 Kenton Lands Road, Erlanger
Who: Adults
Join other adults to play Magic The Gathering. Bring your own deck or one can be provided.

What: Smart Money Month
When: Tuesdays in April, 7-8:30 pm

Who: Adults

Take a step toward becoming a healthier new you. The NKY Health Department, KYNECT, Life Center, Northern Kentucky Hates Heroin and others will be there with information.

What: Party for the Planet
When: Saturday, April 23, 2-3 pm

Who: Ages 5-12
Join us as we celebrate Earth with a recycled craft to help the birds. Plant seeds and have a snack. Register 962-4032.

What: Ninja Week
When: April 25-29

Who: School Age
Hone in your sneaky time skills with ninja themed activities all week. Learn how to send secret messages, watch ninja movies, train in martial arts and take a ninja test. See www.kentonlibrary.org/events for details.

What: Etched Glass Craft
When: Wednesday, April 27, 6:30-8 pm

Who: Teens
Create an etched glass design on a vase or glass. Makes a perfect Mother’s Day gift.

What: Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Dia
When: Saturday, April 30, 1-4 pm

Who: Everyone
Celebrate children and books in all languages with International storytime, Filipino dancers, Tri-State Chamber Orchestra, face painting, Henna tattoos, crafts, free books (while supplies last) and snacks.

What: Dads Do Hair
When: Saturday, April 30, 1-2 pm

Who: Dads/Daughters
Dads – learn how to brush, braid, do pigtails, buns and twists. Each child will receive their own goody bag of hair supplies. Registration required. 962-4032
