Larry Mock, former corporate executive and school principal, is the new head of The Life Learning Center, a nonprofit agency based in Covington and serving the Greater Cincinnati area.
Mock previously previously served as head of Mount Notre Dame and is former worldwide Vice President of Procter & Gamble.
He will focus his efforts primarily on community outreach, including building awareness, creating partnerships and funding.

The Life Learning Center provides a holistic, integrated continuum of learning and care to help “at risk” individuals achieve their highest potential and become more productive, satisfied members of the community.
Components of the program provide participants with the tools, accountability and support they need to achieve real change, lasting success and reach a rightful level of dignity in society.
“Our program is unique, one of a kind. We deal with the whole person, causing an intellectual shift in the five core domains of life: financial, emotional, physical, relational and spiritual,” said William P. Butler, Chairman of Corporex Companies and founder of Life Learning Center. “Our integrated program equips individuals so they can ‘learn how to live’ and be prepared for real and lasting transformational change from the inside out.
“Larry brings a unique base of experience along with leadership and strategic skills that will build on the center’s holistic programs and expand our impact on ‘at risk’ individuals and the community.”
Mock said he looks forward to the challenge.
“The Life Learning Center has a wonderful mission of helping to equip positive change for individuals committed to improve their lives. Mr. Butler created a very special capability with the center and I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to help lead this important work going forward,” he said.
Denise Govan, Managing Director, is responsible for the center’s programs.
“We are pleased Larry is joining us as President and we look forward to working together to help the less hopeful individuals and their families achieve sustainable change in their lives,” she said. “We just graduated our 9th class in our new facility. We are proud of their accomplishments and excited for their future.”
The Life Learning Center has the capacity for additional “at risk” citizens to enroll in their program, Mock said.
Those interested can learn more at the center’s website.
The center delivers its services through a Volunteer University and is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Faculty and Life Coaches. Local employers such as Yankee Doodle Deli and the Emmz Company serve as Employer Partners and place LLC certified graduates.
