The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet wants to inform the public that construction of the bridge replacement over Little Sugar Creek and its approaches on Little Sugar Creek Road (CR 1001) is ready to begin.
Rob Hans, Chief District Engineer for KYTC District 6 said, “The new bridge will be constructed to current standards which will provide better mobility for the motorists in Gallatin County and all those who travel this roadway.”
Sunesis Construction Company, of West Chester, Ohio was awarded the low bid contract for $432,400.
Starting Monday, April 4, Little Sugar Creek Road will be closed to through traffic. A signed detour will be in place directing motorists to use US 42, US 127 and KY 562.
The construction project will be complete by the end of July, 2016.
