Thomas More, NCAA announce game times, ticket information for early round tourney matches


The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Women’s Basketball Committee has announced the games times for the first and second round games being played at Thomas More College’s Connor Convocation Center on Friday and Saturday, March 4-5.

University of Mount Union and Guilford College will play at 5 p.m., in the first game on Friday and No. 1-ranked Thomas More plays La Roche College at 7 p.m. The two winners from Friday will play at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday for the right to advance to the Sectional semifinals.

Ticket prices will be $6 for adults and $4 for senior citizens and students, while children ages two and under are free.

Thomas More will have pre-sale of its ticket allotment on Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and on Thursday from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. inside the athletic department office at the Connor Convocation Center. Doors will open on Friday at 4 p.m. and on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The top-ranked Saints (27-0) earned the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament after winning their 10th-straight PAC Championship Tournament.

The La Roche Redhawks (24-3) won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) to earn the Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Mount Union Purple Raiders (20-7) earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament after winning the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament.

The Guilford College Quakers (21-5) earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after finishing runner-up in the Old Dominican Athletic Conference (ODAC).
