Brad Carr has resigned as head coach of the Scott boys’ basketball team after 12 seasons.

Carr confirmed his resignation in an email earlier today. He did not offer any other details in the email and he has not yet responded to a message left on his home phone requesting an interview.
He told the team that he was stepping down as head coach earlier this week, according to one of the player’s parents.
In 12 seasons at Scott, Carr compiled a 187-174 record and 10 of his teams qualified for the 10th Region tournament. The Eagles lost in the regional finals in 2013 and 2015.
Carr, who became the winningest coach in the history of the Scott boys’ basketball program last season, is the second Northern Kentucky boys’ coach to announce his resignation. Ron Dawn is stepping down as coach of Newport Central Catholic team that won this year’s 9th Region championship and advanced to the semifinals of the boys’ state tournament.
