The Northern Kentucky University Board of Regents approved a three percent increase in undergraduate tuition for 2016-2017 during its meeting Wednesday.
Additional increases include a three percent increase in housing and parking costs.
The approved increase falls short of President Geoffrey Mearns’ recommended increase of four percent.
The increase means students will pay an additional $130 more per semester.
Chase College of Law and NKU resident graduate students will see a $35 increase per credit hour credit hour, while. NKU resident graduate students will see a $22 per credit hour.
University dining fees will increase between three and four percent.
In 2015, NKU tuition increased by four percent, and increased by three percent in 2014.
