City of Florence teams with Freedom for Independence Day activities at UC Health Stadium


The City of Florence has teamed up with the Florence Freedom to celebrate Independence Day on Sunday, July 3, 2016 beginning at 4 p.m.The day’s activities, which traditionally take place at the Florence Government Center, will be held at  UC Health Stadium 7950 Freedom Way.

Activities include:
Yall Star month

  • (4-9pm) KidZone activities featuring Cincinnati Circus
  • (4-10pm) Food booths & beer and wine tastings
  • (4-11pm) Murray Brothers Shows Rides & Games
  • (6pm) Florence Police Honor Guard’s Patriotic Salute
  • (6-7pm) Florence Community Band’s Patriotic Tribute
  • (6-8pm) Independence Day Cruise-in
  • (7pm) Vintage Baseball Game
  • (7pm) Musical Performance by The Leroy Ellington Band
  • (10pm) Fireworks Display by Elite Pyrotechnics

On Monday, July 4 the Freedom will host the Southern Illinois Miners and will include performances by national entertainer Mad Chad as well as a double fireworks show.

City of Florence offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2016 in observance of Independence Day and will be open again on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 8:30am.
